Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Milton Keynes is a unique location for a marathon because of the amazing and varied scenery of the course.
Nearly 4,500 runners took part in the run last year - a similar number is expected in 2017!
Without any significant inclines, the MK Marathon offers a good opportunity for a Personal Best. The route follows a single lap along closed roads and cycle paths, passing beautiful lakes and woodland. The race finishes inside the 22,500 seat MK Dons stadium where huge crowds cheer runners over the finish line.
