Mark Brocklehurst Respite & Events Manager
Mark has a long history in the travel industry having worked for Thomas Cook and Neilson at resorts overseas and more recently heading up reservation teams and call centres in the UK. Mark is responsible for booking our respite trips and also manages part of our fundraising operation.
Sue Read Finance
Sue works as our bookeeper and management accountant and ensures that the many days out and holidays we book are promptly paid for. Sue also helps us to keep track of our fundraising income, from grants and trust distbursements to event related / sponsorship money.
Andy Nicholson Trustee
Andy is a keen cyclist, sailor and skier and has been an avid supporter of the 4 Cancer Group for many years, from selling raffle tickets at Cowes week, taking part in the Southport 24 hour dinghy race, skiing the vertical height of Everest and taking part in the popular London To Brighton Bike Ride – all to help raise money and awareness for a very worthwhile charity.
Like so many I have experienced cancer, in 2012 my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, thankfully for us it was detected early and all treatment was successful and she has made a full recovery; we were lucky. Thousands of people are affected by this horrible disease and many are not as lucky as our family has been. If I can help to give back just a little bit to combat this disease I will be happy.
David Gill Trustee
David was one of the charity’s first trustees and joined the Board of Trustees in 2001 after losing his father to cancer. David has had a long and varied career which includes time spent in the British Army (Sandhurst) and in the financial services sector (Goldman Sachs). David has since left the banking sector and now works full-time as a trainer and coach within the London Fire Brigade. David is a keen runner and skier.
Andy Hayward Marketing
After losing his dad to cancer, Andy decided to channel his grief into something positive. He has been raising funds to help other families affected by cancer ever since. A trained marketer by profession, Andy helps the charity with marketing and fundraising. A former competitive swimmer, Andy is also a keen cyclist and dinghy sailor (although not a very good one!)
