Beachy Head Marathon: 22 October 2022

Run 4 Cancer - About Us

Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.

We also make grants to UK based care institutions and fund research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.

Beachy Head Marathon 2016

The Beachy Head Marathon is one the largest 'off-road' or trail marathons in the UK.

The stunning views along the Marathons route, which extend from Dungeness to Selsey Bill, have made the Beachy Head Marathon one of the most scenic marathon courses in the World.

Beachy Head is the highlight of the course and is highest chalk sea cliff in Britain, rising to 162 m (530 ft) above sea level.

Approximately 2,000 people take part in the event every year from all across the world.

The race crosses the South Downs countryside, providing a challenging yet scenic route. The race starts and finishes at St Bedes School in Eastbourne. Leaving Eastbourne, the course makes its way past Willingdon Hill, through Westdean Forest and past Longman Windover and Bostal hills. After Cradle Hill, the route takes runners back to Westdean Forest to intersect with Beachy Head Road.
