Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Run in Edinburgh with Edinburgh Castle as a stunning backdrop. It's a fast and flat route, so if you are looking for a PB, then this could be the one for you.
The Edinburgh Marathon has sold out every year since 2008 and is the second largest marathon in the UK, behind only London.
The route has changed! The dreaded hill has been removed leading to one of the flattest marathon courses in the UK! After the start, runners head round Holyrood Park and along Queens Drive before passing through Leith and towards the coast to Musselburgh and the fishing areas of Cockenzie and Port Seton. Runners then pass through the grounds of Gosford House before returning along the coast to Port Seaton promenade and the finish at Musselburgh Racecourse.
Run 4 Cancer and we'll give you a subsidised place and ask that you also pledge to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship to support people living with cancer.
