Brighton Marathon 2027
Since its launch in 2010, the Brighton Marathon has quickly become one of Britain’s favourite running events. It is now ranked as ‘Britain’s 2nd Marathon’ and London due to its fantastic course profile, number of runners, amazing atmosphere and the high standard of race organisation. Originally organised by former international athlete Tim Hutchings and Brighton club athlete Tom Naylor, the race regularly attracts over 20,000 entries and is now managed by the London Marathon Events Team. It is estimated that circa 200,000 people turn out to cheer on runners around the course and the event sells out every year. Don’t miss out!

The Route
Following the successful re-launch of this event under the leadership of London Marathon Events, a new course was also introduced in 2023. Starting as ever at Preston Park, the route gives you that city vibe as well as stunning sea views as you run along the cliff tops and down the seafront, before finishing on Hove Lawns.

We have a number of subsidised places available. All we ask is that you raise £450.00 in sponsorship funds in support of Run 4 Cancer (exc Gift Aid). We set very low minimum sponsorship funds and fully understand that the cost of living crisis is impacting people’s ability to sponsor people.
Run 4 Cancer - About Us
Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We give families something to look forward to during the most difficult of times. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
