Crystal Palace Half Marathon 2026
The Crystal Palace Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and Junior Race all take place within the grounds of the beautiful Crystal Palace Park, one of London’s hidden gems. Given Run 4 Cancer was founded in Crystal Palace, this is one of our favourite running events of the year!
Opened in 1854, this large 200 acre Victorian park was once home to the Crystal Palace (the largest glass building of the time). The park contains one of the UK’s largest mazes (2,000 square yards), a concert amphitheatre which has hosted bands from Pink Floyd to Bob Marley, numerous playgrounds, a beautiful boating lake and the world’s oldest collection of dinosaur sculptures (dating back to 1854).
The park also contains the National Sports Centre, a world famous athletics and swimming complex that has hosted World Championships and countless Olympians since ints opening in 1964. The park is also overshaddowed by the Crystal Palace Tower, the highest structure above sea level in London at 328 metres / 1077 feet.
This fantastic running event has something for all the family. Runners will be able to run past the park’s famous landmarks whilst family members enjoy the parks many attractions!

The Route(s)
With a wide range of distances available, the whole family can find a distance that is right for them. Choose from a range of distances which include a Junior Race, 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. Whatever distance you choose, Run 4 Cancer has places for every event!
Whatever distance you choose, you will be treated to a truly spectacular course. Most of the routes incorporate sections for the former motor racing circuit and will also take you past the famous dinosaur park, the boating lake, the maze, concert bowl, the athletics track and the former site of the Crystal Palace itself.

Run 4 Cancer - About Us
Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We give families something to look forward to during the most difficult of times. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
