Organised by Jane Tomlinson’s ‘Run For All’ organisation, over 2,000 runners take part in the race every year. This is a great challenge for runners old and new, this massively popular event boasts a great city centre course and a truly incredible atmosphere.

The Route
The race starts on Irongate in the City Centre. The course then takes runners through the city centre via the historic Market Place. From here, the route heads out on to London Road and Shardlow Road, through the beautiful Elvaston Castle Country Park, across Elvaston Park and past Derby County’s Pride Park football stadium. After this, the course takes people back to the city centre for the ‘Big Finish’.

Run 4 Cancer - About Us
Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We give families something to look forward to during the most difficult of times. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
