Glasgow Half Marathon 2023

First held in 1982, the AJ Bell Great Scottish Run has grown each year and is now Scotland’s largest running event. This incredible weekend of running and side events includes a Half Marathon, 10K plus a Junior & Mini event for families and children. In 2012, a staggering 24,089 people took part to reaffirm the race as the largest mass participation sporting event in Scotland.

The Route

The Half Marathon starts in George Square in Glasgow city centre, then heads out towards Glasgow Green, crossing the Kingston Bridge over the River Clyde. Runners also run through Pollok Park and past many other Glasgow landmarks.  The 10K and mini routes follow a similar circuit but on a much smaller scale.
