Queen Elizabeth Country Park Trail Run 2026
WALK, RUN OR JOG!
As a Petersfield based charity, Queen Elizabeth Country Park is right on our doorstep. You’ll often find Run 4 Cancer’s trustees running around the many beautiful trails that the park has to offer!
This incredible event offers runners three distances from which to choose. There is a half marathon (21.6 Km), a 15.2 Km trail run (9.44 miles) and a 7.9 Km trail run (4.9 miles). All routes work their way through the park’s 1,400 acres (6 km2) of open access woodland.
Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), Queen Elizabeth Country Park (also known as QECP) contains the incredible Butser Hill (886 feet above sea level) within its boundary, the highest point in the South Downs National Park.

The Route(s)
Half Marathon (21.6 Km): With an elevation gain of 424 metres, this incredible half marathon features rolling hills and varied off-road terrain. You’ll enjoy a mix of woodland paths, open trails and gentle climbs. A satisfying challenge that feels rewarding rather than tough!
15.2 Km trail run (9.44 miles): A slightly shorter version of the half marathon course with an elevation gain of 328 metres. Expect lots of gravel paths and stunning forest trails on this incredible 10 mile route.
7.9 Km trail run (4.9 miles): An easy trail with a little adventure thrown in for good measure, runners will experience gently rolling trails with small ups and downs. The paths on the course are mostly wide and provide a good footing throughout. This is a great introduction to trail running whilst still feeling comfortable and fun.

Run 4 Cancer - About Us
Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We give families something to look forward to during the most difficult of times. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
