Richmond Half Marathon 2026

The Richmond Half Marathon offers one of the most scenic and varied half-marathon routes in London combining royal parkland, riverside paths and a festival-style finish. Two thousand people take part in this unique event every year.

The course is flat and fast, ideal both for PB-chasers and newer runners. The whole event has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with strong local support and great organisation. The finish area has a fantastic vibe with live music, great food and a family-friendly focus.

The Route

A stone’s throw from central London, this half marathon offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Comprising four laps around the park, the route takes runners through beautiful woodland, over undulating hills and past diverse wildlife. You may well spot a deer or two on the way round!

The course typically starts inside the stunning Royal Botanic Gardens (Kew), giving runners start line experience like no other! The route then takes runners onto beautiful stretches of the River Thames, past historic Richmond landmarks, and through leafy, traffic-free routes.

Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We give families something to look forward to during the most difficult of times. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
