Marathon Eryri Cyf (a non-profit making organisation) was set up in 2007 to take over the bulk of organising the Snowdonia Marathon from the National Trust. From the outset, the new organisation was determined that the race would raise as much money for local causes as possible. The 2019 race saw a total of £20,000 going to the local causes.
- 28 October 2023
The route follows the A4086 and climbs to the top of the Llanberis Pass (Pen y Pass 1.100ft). Dropping down to the Pen Y Cwyryd junction, the race then follows the old road along to the campsite until it joins the A498. This 2km section is farm track, downhill, then the surface returns to the tarmac. There is a short, sharp uphill back up to the main road at the campsite. The route then continues to the Beddgelert (200ft) and then continues along the A4085 to Waunfawr. From here it is a rapid climb to about 1,200ft at Bwlch y Groes (a short length is unmetalled) and then downhill to the finish in Llanberis.

Subsidised Entry Fee

We set very low minimum sponsorship levels and fully understand that the cost of living crisis is impacting people’s ability to sponsor people. To reserve your Run 4 Cancer place, get in touch with us using the form below. Many thanks for your support! We really appreciate it.
Run 4 Cancer - About Us
Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We give families something to look forward to during the most difficult of times. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery. Find out more about us here.
