Geordie Klein’s Next Challenge!
05 February 2018
As a keen runner Geordie Klein is always looking for a challenge. Preferably trail running, but a nice road race is also welcome 🙂
For the upcoming period, two big challenges lay ahead for Geordie. Up first on Bank Holiday Monday the 7 May Geordie will run in the Milton Keynes Marathon and five weeks later on the 16 June The Wall. The Wall is an epic trail run along Hadrian’s Wall, starting with his left foot in the sea in Carlisle and ending after 69 miles later with his right foot in the sea at Newcastle.
Commenting on the challenge Geordie said:
“I feel very blessed that I am able to run almost every day. Running is really my passion. I enjoy most of all running through nature: forest trails, hills and sometimes high mountains. But also self organised and ‘getting lost’ urban jungle runs through the back streets of a new town are a great experience.
During all these kilometres, especially when on the forest trails, my mind may drift away to thoughts of my mother and mother in law who were struck by cancer very hard. I am sure they would really have enjoyed to visit us living in the UK, going for a Sunday walk followed by a lunch in a two century old Inn.
Luckily I am also fortunate that my father and other family members and friends are surviving cancer through ever improving treatments and support.
Experiencing myself the healthy and mindful benefits of being outdoors and knowing how much especially my mother and mother-in-law enjoyed being out walking and cycling, I am raising funds for Run 4 Cancer when participating in challenging running events. This charity has its focus on the mental benefits of going ‘out of the door’ on coping with cancer and supports research in this specific area of cancer treatment (as part of an holistic approach to cancer treatment).
I hope you are willing to support my fund raising efforts. Every pound or euro is welcome and appreciated enormously. On Facebook, Instagram and my trail weblog you can follow my progress.”
Thanks very much. Geordie

Run 4 Cancer – About Us
Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
