Joe Runs The Yorkshire Marathon!
14 September 2018
On Sunday the 14 October 2018, Joe Brown will be joining many others taking part in the Yorkshire Marathon.
Joe is taking part in what can only be described as a truly Yorkshire Marathon, which will showcase the very best of the City of York and its surrounding countryside.
Commenting on his challenge, Joe said:
“I have run numerous marathons but they do seem to become increasingly difficult. I have run several to raise money for Macmillan. These have been in memory of my mother who died of cancer 13 years ago. This one is special for a number of reasons. I am going to try and go more quickly again, it is in my home city and goes past the primary school where I work and I am raising money for Run 4 Cancer, who provide respite care for families affected by cancer. Any support you can offer will be very gratefully received.” Joe
Please sponsor Joe and leave your words of encouragement below! Thanks very much!

Run 4 Cancer – About Us
Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
