Set up by a team of running enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Run 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of days out and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. running) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
One of the flattest and fastest marathons on the circuit. If you're looking to set a personal best, this is the event for you! Places are limited to 37,000 runners.
The Paris Marathon is notable for its attractive route through the heart of the city and for the food and drinks stations which include wine, beer, cider and oysters!
The race starts on the Champs-Élysées and then circles round the Place de la Concorde before turning right onto Rue de Rivoli. The route also passes the Louvre, the Place de la Bastille, Boulevard Soult to the Bois de Vincennes.
Once past the drinks and foot massage station at Trocadéro (opposite the Eiffel Tower), runners then branch off East to eventually pass through Bois de Boulogne, emerging 200 metres before the finish on Avenue Foch.
