Every year we receive more and more requests from families who need our help. With your help, we can assist many more families.
We prefer all donations to be made by bank transfer as this is the most efficient way to make a gift to the charity (bank transfers typically do not incur any fees and this ensures more of your donation reaches us). This is our preferred method for one-off donations from individuals or organisations. If you intend to make a donation in this way, please get in touch and we will send you all the necessary details. Thank you!
However, for event based fundraising we work with Justgiving, the world’s leading secure donation fundraising platform. Justgiving is an extremely efficient way to give. We pay just 1.9% in credit or debit card fees plus 20p per transaction. If Gift Aid applies to the donation, Justgiving charge an additional 5% to process and reclaim the Gift Aid from HMRC.
Boost Your Donation By 25%
These fees are comparable with the UK’s other major donation service provider (PayPal). We do not work with GoFundMe whose fees are much higher. Based on previous experience, we strongly advise you not to use this platform.
If you are an individual and a UK tax payer, we can increase the value of your donation by 25% at no extra cost to you using the Government’s Gift Aid scheme. Simply tick the ‘Gift Aid’ box on the Justgiving donation form or let us know if making a direct bank transfer and we will do the rest. Thank you very much!
